1. How do I add or remove a credit/debit card?
– To add a card:

  • Tap the profile icon in the top right corner of the map screen.​
  • Tap Wallet.
  • Tap the blue + in the top right corner (beside Payment Method).
  • Tap Credit Card and follow the on-screen instructions.


– To remove a card:


  • Tap the profile icon in the top right corner of the map screen.
  • Tap Wallet.
  • Tap the card you want to remove.
  • Tap Remove Credit Card and the card will be deleted from your account.


2. Can I use mytaxi in other countries?

Yes! You can hail a taxi in the major cities of the UK, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria.


3. Any Refer-A-Friend promo codes?
Not at the moment, but we do run promotions from time to time. Make sure you’re subscribed to our emails so you don’t miss out!

4. Why do I see a 50c charge on my bank statement?
This is simply a preauthorisation charge to verify your details and isn’t actually debited from your account. If you see it on your statement, don’t worry – it will clear in a couple of working days.

5. Are all your drivers fully licensed?
Yes they are. In fact, all taxi drivers in Ireland must be fully licensed and insured, and we do not allow unlicensed drivers to join mytaxi.

6. Can I set a Default Tip?
Absolutely! Visit the Wallet section via your mytaxi app Profile, and you can set a default tip of 5%, 10%, or 15% – or nothing at all, it’s your call! Click for more details.

7. I can’t remember my mytaxi password!
No problem! Tap Forgot Password and we’ll send you reset instructions via email. Make sure to check your Spam/Junk folder, just in case.

8. Can I prebook a journey?
With mytaxi Prebook, you can book a journey up to 4 days in advance! On the main map screen, tap Booking Options followed by Pickup Time. Set a day and time, hit Save, then tap Order a Taxi. Click here for tap-by-tap instructions.

9. My Prebook time-slot is fully booked. What does this mean?
To ensure you get the best possible service, we limit the number of bookings per time-slot. Try tweaking the time to be a little earlier or later and you’ll get sorted!

10. Can I set preferences for my Driver?
You can select – 5-Star Taxis and Favourite Drivers! Before you hail a taxi, tap Booking Options followed by Preferences. If you tap Prefer 5 Star Taxi, you’ll only hail drivers that have received the highest ratings from other passengers. If you tap Prefer Favourite Drivers, your request will only be sent to drivers that you’ve set as personal favourites. 11. My location looks slightly off, how can I fix this?
On the main map screen, tap the compass icon to refine your location. Still not quite right? Tap the address bar (above Booking Options) and type in your exact address. Pro tip: tap Booking Options to set a destination as well – drivers prefer when you do this and it might reduce your waiting time!
