Hailo has officially become mytaxi. Here's what you need to know!

In July 2016, Hailo teamed up with a similar app called mytaxi, the largest taxi app in Europe. We’re very excited to officially announce the launch of mytaxi in Ireland!

We've been working hard to pack the mytaxi app with loads of smart features, so it’s a brilliant step forward for Hailo. We’re delighted to have you with us.

What’s all this about?!

Hailo has teamed up with mytaxi to create Europe’s largest taxi app offering licensed taxis in over 50 cities – exciting times!

Should I download the mytaxi app?

Nope, just open your Hailo app and you'll be taken through the process of making the move from Hailo to mytaxi. All you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions and your details will transfer from Hailo to mytaxi in a flash, 100% securely. It should be handy enough, but if you get stuck just drop us a line at and we'll help you get it sorted.

Do I need to login or register?

Nope! Your Hailo profile, including any credit/debit cards on your account, will sync with the mytaxi app automatically. So when you open the mytaxi app you’ll be ready to start hailing immediately.

What’s happening to the Hailo app?

We’ll be waving goodbye to the Hailo app soon. You'll still be able to use both Hailo and mytaxi for a little while, but ultimately the Hailo app will be set to do nothing but point you in the direction of the new mytaxi app.

What’s happening to the Hailo brand?

The Hailo brand will also be calling it a day, but we’re sure you'll love the mytaxi brand just as much!

What happens when I transfer my Hailo account to mytaxi?

We’ll sync your Hailo account with your mytaxi app via our secure servers. Your profile information and registered credit/debit cards will all move seamlessly from Hailo to mytaxi. The first time you open your new mytaxi app, you’ll automatically be logged in and ready to hail your first mytaxi!

Do I need to register or sign in again?

Nope! All your account and login details will be transferred from Hailo to mytaxi, so you’ll be logged in to the mytaxi app automatically!

What new features can I find on the mytaxi app?

– Favourite driver 👋
You can rate your driver and their vehicle, you can also favourite specific drivers so they’re more likely to pick you up again in future. #TaxiBuddies!

– Share location 📍
With mytaxi, you can share your location at any time. Tell friends you’re just 5 minutes away, or let the folks know that you’re on the way home.

How do I book a mytaxi?

Open your mytaxi app and tap Order a Taxi – that’s all there is to it! If you'd like to prebook for a certain time, tap Prebook / Options and tell mytaxi where you’re going and when you’d like to leave. Then tap Order a Taxiand we’ll find a driver who’s available at your chosen time.

How do I check my trip history?

Visit your profile in the mytaxi app, then tap Trips.

I lost something in a mytaxi, can you help?

That’s no fun, but we’re here to help! Open your mytaxi app, visit your profile, then tap Help and Contact. If you lost property in your most recent mytaxi journey, tap Help with my last trip. If it was in a previous trip, select Help with a specific trip, and choose from the list of previous trips. Then tap Lost items to send our support team a message, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

How do I change my payment method?

Open the mytaxi app and select Prebook / Options. Tap on the card or cash icon to switch between the two.

How do I use a promo code?

Visit your profile in the mytaxi app, and tap Add Promo Code, followed by the blue '+' icon. Type your promo code into the box, and tap Save. Remember, you’ll need to choose Pay With Card for promo codes to take effect!

Is my data safe?

We are fully committed to treating every bit of your data with the utmost care. Our servers are secure and your data is kept completely safe at all times.

My Hailo app hasn’t asked me to transfer my account to mytaxi, what should I do?

No worries! You probably just need to update your Hailo app to the most recent version. Head to your phone’s app store and check for any Hailo updates. Still not happening? Drop us a line at
